GPS Tag: Personal GPS Tracker for Android
GPS Tag is a free Android-based app that offers a reliable and user-friendly GPS tracking service. With GPS Tag, you can use your smartphone or tablet as a personal GPS tracker without the need for a separate device. This app is specifically designed for Wialon users, who have accounts in Wialon Hosting SaaS GPS tracking system, Wialon Pro and Wialon Local server solutions, or Wialon Kit platform.
GPS Tag provides basic GPS tracker functions such as device coordinates, speed, and time, which are submitted to the tracking system. The app uses GPS, Wi-Fi, and cell networks to determine location. Sending text messages and images to the GPS tracking system is also easy with GPS Tag. The app has two modes: permanent mode for continuous transmission of coordinates, and mode with time-out for transmitting coordinates only once within a given period of time to reduce battery consumption. Additionally, GPS Tag is compatible with any SIM card, even in roaming.
It is important to note that GPS Tag is no longer supported. Users are advised to use the new version of WiaTag instead, which offers more advanced features.
